We were poor growing up--well, the whole community was so we really didn't stick out more than any one else---but, our stockings contained an orange, some nuts, a pair of socks and a candy cane. To imagine things you have to have some experience with something similar, and the closest I have is going to bed with my electric blanket that doesn't warm up fast enough. (We are sooooo removed from nature.) Thank you for the reminder!
