Things that are GREAT and I am grateful for! Please take them to heart

Isn't this photo happy? Something to look at, take a minute and smile....
Maxine is a riot...she always says things that make me smile...I have a friend named Maxine and she is the perfect person behind this cartoon...she is cranky in a really wonderful way and everyone just loves her...I am not kidding
For those of you with more than one cat...isn't this funny?
Speaking of graititude....I was just sitting here talking to my favorite neighbor Connie who helps me sew and do other things (she is a treasure) and I was saying that the more gratitude you have for things, the more good things that come into your life...it is amazing! I loved it because she shook her head "yes" and said I truley believe that....that is why I love Connie...we are thankful for the gift of friendship in our nutty neighborhood....
You could laugh at this saying but I know so many many beautiful people who are wise and older. Do you know what I mean? Lots of them are quilters and artists....
This cat LOVES her COW
Cows are always fun to share because I always hope others will do more cows to share with large quilt conferences...I have a list of people that want inventive cow quilts...you can find the pattern in "Out of the Box with Easy Blocks" -we start with the same pattern and then gret creative-------
I ran into this beautiful photo of smiling quilters and wanted to show you...Flower Power at it's finest!
This cow is made by Dawn Tonoili-a wonderful quilt artist!

Little cows make me happy too...these are by my friend Mari Linfesty
This is so true, be the person you are meant to be and share your special gifts with others...this is the purpose of life....
I had to share this fabric....my Granddaughter has loved bugs for four years and still maintains her love for them...this is pillowcases that Laura from Texas made for her....she LOVES them and so do I....isn't this fun???
And sinally I thought I would share an OLD photo- this is Freddy Moran's stash (just one of them)-I took this photo when I stayed there and we worked on quilts together...just look at that cheddar against the blue!
Wonderful!

  1. I agree with what you said about being thankful. Like Oprah said, it changes your life. Among the many things I'm thankful for each day, is you. I am thankful that you came into my life. I love reading your blog and books and attending your classes. You inspire me.

  2. Animals are one of my favorite things to quilt, they are fun and so many possibilities with all of the cute and silly things they do.
