Mark and I were lucky enough to go to Hawaii (Maui) a couple of weeks ago and we had a wonderful time. He didn't think he would ever be able to visit there and it was so much fun watching hom be so grateful for the beauty that is there.
I am wearing tennis shoes because of my back problems and it would have been nicer to wear cute sandels...oh well......we had such a nice time being together.
We loved this place to eat and the beach is rated one of the best in the world....
Ebverywhere you looked the color was fabulous and the air smelled sweet and people were smiling. Mark and I think we are going to just retire, sell everything and sell cocoanuts on the road there...we need a huge tent so friends can come and visit....how is that for dreaming? Mark would go walking early every morning and he met people who did that kind of thing...picked up cigarette butts and rolled them in leaves...slept on people's porches,,,begged left over food at restaurants.....I like the tent idea better....
A really beautiful Catholic church we ran into....the grounds were wonderful and so was the inside of the church....
I was really blessed to spend time with Mark all over the island...we had alot of laughs and we both had alot to be thankful for....if you ever want to stay at a nice place that is a condo with a kitchen and 2 bedrooms contact Outrigger Resorts and ask for " Aina Nailu"....I will give you more info on this once I find my paper work....we will be back there. Darling place and in the middle of Lahaina where you can walk everywhere and see loads of wonderful things....also it was easy to sew in the nice little livingroom and watch tv or just relax....

ReplyDeleteHappy anniversary, here is to many more happy years together and more trips to Maui.
So happy for you and Mark to visit Hawaii for your anniversary!! It is our most beautiful state for sure! Went there for the first of two times over 30 years ago and I can still smell the flowers, feel the soft breezes and sunshine and see everyone's smiles.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing Hawaii with us!
Happy Anniversary Mary Lou! It looks like a lovely place to visit. Regards, Nessie
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome trip! My hubby and I just ceelbrated 20 years, we are looking forward to 42! Hopefully we can make a big trip like you did. We had the good luck to go to Maui with his company several years back for his boss's wedding. I am dreaming about the smells and colors. We do not get that here in the middle/southeast part of the country in Huntsville Alabama! I will tap those feelings next week at your workshops here :0) Happy Anniversary to both of you!
