Getting Ready for Memorial -finding photos...sending thoughts

Thought it would be fun to show you what we used to look like and then later on when I was blond. :0)
Yup, we changed but our hearts loved each other until the end. Forty five years and I wanted to make it to fifty....
Together we created a nice family and alot of happiness. Except for my little Grandson on Mark's lap who wanted to play legos and not be in the photo...we could not get him to smile for anything...it kind of made it more fun.
This represents my everything....love these people so much-----------------------------------------------

And NOW, a little comic relief....my daughter sent this to me for Mother's Day tomorrow...it made me laugh, how about you?

I am still running on adrenilin as the Memorial is tomorrow and our home will be filled with guests and business. I am kind of numb and having trouble focusing and thinking but will get better as time goes on.
I am anxious to begin quilting again. That will be my saving grace...that and traveling to see you girls.
I am so thankful for quilting.
Happy Mother's Day to all-including those with no children- we ALL had Mother's so celebrate...life is about celebration and we all need a good reason to be blessed and to bless others.
That's what makes us happy!

  1. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Your dark hair daughter looks so much like you when you had long hair. A family photo wouldn't be right unless some hi jinks it!

May you have fond memories to take you through your journey tomorrow.

Love the suggestion, in fact I'm taking my mom to a Mexican restaurant for dinner tomorrow so I'll recommend one to her on that advice.

Keep smiling and looking to the sun.

My thoughts will be with you and the family tomorrow. I need a me day and some fun time, so heading to Ct. to visit a new park and area, just because.

  4. Love the photos and the sweet happiness on all of the beloved faces!

Wishing you well today. I hope and pray you can enjoy the day and the dear friends who come to remember wonderful Mark. It will help if you have Maybelline's Marathon Mascara as it won't make black streaks down your face when you cry. As my grandmother used to say:
"Tears show clear what the heart holds dear."

    Peace be with you.

    Hugs!
