So I experimented with changing my template to photos you could click on to take you to the posts. While it was exciting and colorful and I had more hits, it drew in people that were "lookers" and I want people to read my posts.
I am going to write a couple of good things about people I met this week before I leave. Thank you for coming to my blogs. Please keep reading the ones from this week...
I liked it, I just had to get used to it, lol.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy reading your posts and being inspired by all the fun projects and places you visit.

ML, Im looking for the chili verde recipie, where did you post it,
ReplyDeleteI didn't like it! I know it is creative and "hip" but I like the old-fashioned way of seeing what you are doing today. Seeing all of those images is very entertaining but I don't think it leads to relationships with other bloggers. Just my take. Maybe you could do one blog this way and one blog that way and see over time which one works best for what you are trying to accomplish.Love that Jack-O-Lantern quilt! It's awesome!

I've been reading your blog for a long, long time, way back when I was blogging on "Cootie Bug". Since then I've changed to the one I currently blog. I enjoy your posts, Marylou.
ReplyDeleteHi!!! Love this look!!! I think all the pics at once gave me worse attention deficit!!! Maybe not but I did find myself just admiring the pics!!! I just recently found you and joined your yahoo group!!!! I also got the bug that is going around!!! Not that these two things have anything to do with the other!!! Except I joined then got sick and have not followed up with your group!!! I will be there soon though!!!! Are you ready!!! On another note though you may not get this at all because I have trouble making out the words on the word verification crazy thing!!!! I will try a couple more times,,,,it is so blurry!!! I really am not a robot!! wish me well
ReplyDeleteI have to say I prefer this more traditional view of your blog Mary Lou, because you don't get to see all the wonderful pictures and information you have along the right side of your blog in the other format.
ReplyDeleteSometimes I want to look back at a previous post and can remember the month, but not necessarily the picture that is featured.
I also like exploring your blog list from time to time.
I have to say that I don!t like the second security feature on this blog.
I like this view of your blog better. I want to read what you have to say and I didn't like all those photos. . .it was over load for me.
ReplyDeletehi Mary Lou,
ReplyDeleteI like your blog this way, not the "all pictures all the time" way. Even if I clicked to see a "classic" version, your cool side bar info was lost! I LOVE your side bars, reminding us to smile or be a kid or be silly.
Take care!

I, also, prefer this traditional style..except for the verification feature. Several other bloggers, I've noticed, have turned that feature off since many of us have difficulty making out the verification letters. While I enjoyed the new photo style, I had problems is getting it to behave properly and I missed easy access to all the pictures and info in the righthand column. I do go to past years & read what I missed.
ReplyDeleteMaybe I'm old-fashioned, but I like to read one thing at a time. The other way presented me with too many challenges. Although I check your blogs every day, I couldn't remember which ones I'd already read and kept going back and forth.
ReplyDeleteSometimes simplicity is better? Thank you for all the inspiration you give us!
